Podcast Episode 6: Herding dogs! This week we talk about what makes our amazing border collies the hardest workers and most valuable tools on the farm.

This week we talk about our herding dogs. Herding dogs gather and move stock. They round up strays and stragglers and keep the flock together. Experts say that a good dog can do the work of 5 men but I'd say it is closer to 10. Herding dogs come in many shapes and sizes and have many different characteristics. Here on the ranch we have border collies so that is what we are going to talk about.

In this episode we will talk all about Jinx and Jones, how they do what they do, how they are similar and different and how their puppies are developing into young herders too.

We used several references in this podcast to get the facts right and will post some links here if you'd like to learn more.
