We picked up our pigs from the bitcher yesterday. These animals were pasture raised and finished on apples and barley. I decided to cook up a loin for dinner tonight. This meat needs no gilding; just a bit of salt and pepper.

Stinky Roger dislocated his ankle about 11 weeks ago so mike set it back in the socket and casted him up. The vet said a dislocation takes quite a bit longer to heal than a broken bone so we waited until now to check it. We cut the cast off today and it looks perfect! Not even a rub sore or hair loss. We decided to wrap it back up with fresh gauze and put the old cast back on as a sort of sandwich splint. We'll leave it on another month or so just to be sure it's well healed before removing it for good. #nigeriandwarf #tcb
