In the barn with Cover Girl

We are very anxious for Cover Girl to kid.  Her little one(s) will be our first baby goat(s) born on the ranch.  Today Christy spent a little time with her to see how she is adjusting to her new space in the barn.  She seems a little lonely (as she is used to the company of 11 other girls), but is eating and drinking well.

We brought Cover Girl home from our trip to Portland.  She is really sweet and well socialized....and should know what she is doing as this is her 5th or 6th freshening.  Today she is 147 days pregnant.  A typical gestation is 150 days....but she has been showing signs for about a week now that she is close. This, combined with the wet weather we have been experiencing, led us to move her into the barn prior to kidding, rather than after.

So now we wait...
